Day2

No pop. No ice cream...but two hershey kisses and two (or three) chocolate truffle things. Those things...I tell ya what. They just melt in your mouth. If heaven does exist, there will be lots of chocolate truffles in mine.

I didn't get in a full 40 minute walk today, but I'm okay with that. It was painstakingly cold today. And when I left work, it was raining. I was slightly disappointed because I was really looking forward to exploring that neighborhood a little more. Yesterday, I caught a glimpse of a tree house in someone's backyard. My plan was to scope it out today, but I have 28 more days to do that. Tonight, I decided to go into the clubhouse at my apartment and check out the gym. It's actually not bad. It makes The Enclave's gym look really silly actually. Not that I used that gym much. But in my new life in my new city, I hope to use the already paid for gym more frequently. I also mustered up the courage to lift a few weights. There may be a lot of fluff on my body, but my muscles are still there. So I consider this a success!

4.a. Hump Daaaaayyy! When I was working in Orlando, I shared a wall with this older, funny dude name LJ. He cracked me up with the things he'd say to customers. Like sometimes I'd have to stop what I was doing to make sure I actually heard him correctly. I really can't even put it into words...but the point of my story is that he's an old man and he's funny. Ever since I moved offices, he's made it a point to call me on Wednesdays, but the last few weeks or so he hasn't called. I was beginning to think he had forgotten about me. But sure enough...5:50pm, my phone rang from a 407 number.....and when I picked up the phone...all I heard was "huuumppp daaaayyyye!" I promise you it's much funnier in person...errr...over the phone. I also got the chance to chat with a few other coworkers today via office communicator. They reminded me that I am missed. They are missed, too.

4.b. I talk about work a lot. Work is my life, really. Good thing I like what I do. Our office has been in the process of taking donations for miscellaneous items to send care packages to the troops overseas. Giving things to people makes me feel good. The gesture of giving cools gifts is much more rewarding than receiving gifts, I think. So I read through the list of hot items, looking for the coolest thing on the list. They don't give you much room to be creative on those lists, but in honor of my late grandmother, I cleaned out Target's supply of word searches and crossword puzzles. She always had those things laying around the house...most of the time with doodles in the margins. So I hope wherever those books end up, they bring a little bit of happiness to the recipient.

4.c. This. (insert emoji with heart eyes)

I've been wanting it for a really long time. It just went on sale, so I bought it.

5. If you're still with me and plan to be for the next 28 days...thank you and I love you!
