Almost back on track...

I've been working towards accomplishing this 30 day challenge thing. No sugar. No gluten. No processed foods. No grains. No crap basically. I was 27 days successful the first time I did it and I just can't seem to get back there. It's tough man. It's hard to change the way you live. I feel like I'm moving in the right direction though.

I started my day off per usual. Crawling out of bed, considering not going to work. I tell ya what...my urge to urinate in the mornings is really strong. Also, I look forward to peeing in the shower! So I decided to go to work. I spent most of my morning working on a PowerPoint presentation for my team's monthly meeting today...which was awesome, btw. No, just kidding. Ask my coworkers. They'll tell ya the truth. I'm a firm believer in "once a procrastinator, always a procrastinator" (is that even a thing? :) and in typical Jena fashion...I waited until the last possible moment to put this presentation together. At 1pm, I was scheduled for a 50 minute facial at my hotel's spa. Only appropriate considering my team and I book spa appointments. By 2pm, my presentation still wasn't complete and it was due at 3pm. Soooo...who missed lunch today?! This guy. And when a large sized bobbin' for apples bin full of CANDY! showed up to the meeting, I dug in (the shame!!) I confess! I ate like 5 miniature pieces of candy. After the meeting, I decided to eat my deliciously healthy lunch in the form of my pan seared pork chops with a coconut flour crust and topped with a garlic parsley butter! (so good!) then I finished up some work and ate about 5 more pieces of candy (really Jena!! What is wrong with you!!

BUT I finished the day strong! I went to the gym. First day there in over a week! I decided on leg day. Leg day always makes me feel tough and mean! As if I'm not already mean enough. After, I took a walk around the lake. As soon as I started walking, I looked up and snagged a picture of the tiny little sliver of a moon. Literally 10 second later, it was gone...disappeared behind a cloud. I made it just in time! Then a trip to the grocery store for some eggs and cow. Cooked me some bacon cheeseburgers...hold the bun (I wish I was strong enough to hold the cheese too!) it was delish! I swear, I'm gonna make some man reeeeally happy some day with my mad skillz (with a z...David Volpe...if you're reading this...I said with a z!!) Now I'm stuffed full of food, sitting on the couch, watching Ellen. Most important takeaway from today...life is beautiful. I get to see sunsets and moons and breathe fresh air...and eat food...and get free facials. And as much as I know candy is BAD for me, I can eat candy if I want. Some people don't even have that luxury. Life could be worse....but it sure is good!!

Oh!! Check out some cool pics from my day!!
